Lucky Fonz III
In 2008 I made this comic for magazine Viva:
If you can't read Dutch; This story is about a friend who comes to dinner and spots the
well-known singer/songwriter Lucky Fonz III in the supermarket. We tell him he's our
neighbour and makes a lot of noise, and we even asked him to turn his music down!
To be honest, we're not sure if he was living with those noisy students, so it might
not be him who played his music too loud. ;-) Anyway, we still see him sometimes
on the street or in the supermarket and he always nicely greets us (I don't always
greet back since I'm horrible with recognizing faces, sorry!) so we started to
wonder if he had seen my comic. And now I found THIS online! :

I'm so happy that he saw it and liked it enough to mention it in an interview
4 years later! :-D Does this mean I'm famous too? ;-)
(Though now we still have to wonder if he knows I'm the one who drew it.)

Pictoplasma 3
Another day at the Pictoplasma festival but we were all so tired that we decided to skip all lectures.
This was the Sound Creatures workshop from composer/sound-designer David Kamp (his website).

Budapest day 5
A late update but here are new pages from my Budapest diary!
After going home early, the night wasn't over yet...

Budapest day 4
Of course, after that night of partying I paid the price....
So what was this workshop about? Basically just a bunch of comicartists coming together and
drawing a page on the spot in a few hours time. The theme was Elvis, because at the time he
had just been declared an honorary citizen of Budapest (I kid you not!).
Everybody chose an Elvis song as the title of their comic and had to come up with a story about the
King. After a few hours of drawing in the sun all comics were collected and immediately went to the
printer to be turned into a wonderful limited edition comicbook! Joost Swarte designed the cover.

Berlin day 4
My diary continues. Keep in mind that I drew this originally just for myself. Most are notes
I made during the lectures. I'm not saying much about the animations we saw because I couldn't
draw in the dark (there was more light during the lectures).
